Established in 1987, the Pacific Rim Conference on Communications, Computers and Signal Processing (PacRim) is the premier IEEE biennial event in the Pacific Northwest. In 2009, it will be held at the Engineering/Computer Science building, University of Victoria, Victoria, B.C., Canada, from August 23 to August 26.
PacRim09 features regular papers, special sessions, and keynote speaker Dr. Miyahara. Several Gold Paper Awards will be given to the best papers at the conference. Extended version of selected papers will be considered for publication in the IEEE Canadian Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering (CJECE) and the International Journal of Communication Networks and Distributed Systems (IJCNDS).
Victoria is one of most scenic cities of the world. The city of Victoria features mild weather and extensive international cuisines specializing in fresh seafood.
On-campus accommodation at the university residence is available at a reasonable rate during the conference.
*Note that the conference dates have been extended till August 26th (Wed) to accommodate a three-day technical program, preceded by the registration and welcome reception on the evening of August 23rd (Sun).
