DIGITAL VLSI SYSTEMS

Digital Elements and Systems to be Modeled

Caveat: Course Prerequisite

This course requires extensive knowledge and background in digital logic design (CENG 290 Digital Design: I is a prerequisite). You may need to review CENG 290 course material to refresh your information.

If you need a digital design reference book, the one by R. Katz is recommended.

This page includes a list of digital elements and systems that you need to review. We will use these elements and systems as modeling examples throughout the course.

Please note that you might be asked to model other
digital elements or systems that are not listed here without any prior notice. The list below should only be used as a guideline for the minimum required background.

Example List

The list below includes combinational and sequential elements and systems:
You need also to be familiar with Boolean Algebra and DeMorgan's Laws.
